I am a stickler for "doing what you say you will do". I guess this comes from my father. You could always count on him and I never doubted whether or not he was going to follow through.
As a society we have created a term for the non-goal setting procrastinators of the world. We say the person had "good intentions".
Now I am usually one for saying things in a nice way but this term really irks me. It basically means it is ok that the person did not follow through; did not set goals for themselves; let people down etc.
When people don't follow through it sends a clear message that you don't care enough about the person to keep your word. It also says you don't care enough about yourself to set goals and have self discipline. Just something to think about.....
