You make the home a prison. We shouldn't have to live this way. When you are here, we are all afraid. We never know what you are going to do or what will set you off on a rampage. We all sit quietly waiting for the storm. If we are lucky we have an activity outside the home for the evening. If not we sit and wait and wonder who will be your victim tonight.....we hide in our rooms and remain silent....hoping to go unnoticed ....
Sure we relax and have fun when you are not here. Although we have fun when you are not around, this home is still our prison. We are afraid of having too much fun because you have caught us before and made our lives hell. We look around and the memories are of the abuse we've endured. We all secretly wonder what our lives would be like without you.
From the outside it looks like a normal home but to those who live here....we know it's our secret prison.
